When Balls Brothers took over the old Marine Club in Lime Street all those years ago, we were only too aware that we became custodians of far more than a wonderful venue right in the heart of the City, and at the core of the insurance market. We were also fortunate enough to inherit customers whom we have remained close to, and it was they who sowed the seeds of a truly successful business of which I and my predecessors have been proud.

Whilst it’s very sad that we are having to hand the venue back for development next month, we want to assure you that the warmest welcome awaits you just around the corner at our sister venues: Minster Exchange, Mark Lane, Bury Court and the Sterling.

We do hope you’ll find the time, and the excuse, if necessary, to come round in the future, so we can show you that it really is the people, on both sides of the bar, and not the bricks and mortar, which make a place.
